Die Meisterwerke von Henry Purcell und Georg Friedrich Hä ndel sind von auß erordentlich suggestiver Kraft: Ihr "Grand Style" prä gt das Zeremoniell der englischen Krone bis heute. So erklang Hä ndels Zadok The Priest seit 1727 bei jeder Krö nung eines britischen Monarchen. Trommelwirbel und prachtvolle Trompetenfanfaren kü ndigen die Akklamationen von Westminster an, wenn es wieder schallt: God Save the King!
