"SpectreVision, the genre-distorting production company co-founded by Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah, joins forces with Oni Press and a rotating cast of premier comics talents for an unprecedented excursion into HIGH STRANGENESS a brand-new series influenced by real, documented cases of paranormal phenomena, to reveal the liminal spaces where reality and hallucination and science and mythology give way to cosmic wonder and existential terror . . . In the first double-sized, prestige format chapter: Writer, producer, and real-life experiencer Daniel Noah joins acclaimed writer Chris Condon (Ultimate Wolverine, That Texas Blood) and Ringo Award-winning artist Dave Chisholm (Plague House) for an unexpected encounter with the Men in Black . . . Chicago, 1967. Magazine writer Harry Kean is dispatched to rural Indiana to investigate the sudden disappearance of Becky Plume, a local teenager who stepped into the national spotlight with staggering photographic evidence of a recent UFO sighting. Frustrated to leave his developing stories in Chicago and the wife he's hoping to win back Harry sets off to expose a hoax but instead finds himself in a labyrinth of high strangeness involving a missing girl, her boyfriend, a UFO, and some mysterious black-clad visitors circling at the perimeter of a mystery more vast than Harry could possibly imagine. Told across five interconnected, prestige-format issues that will interlock to reveal an ambitious, dimension-spanning finale, each chapter of HIGH STRANGENESS also includes a feature-length essay by podcaster and researcher Jim Perry (Euphomet) on the historical facts and documentary evidence underpinning the phenomena detailed in each issue. Portrait

Chris Condon

Chris Condon is the low-down dirty scoundrel behind the ongoing Image Comic series That Texas Blood and its acclaimed Wild West spinoff, The Enfield Gang Massacre, both with artist Jacob Phillips. He waded deep into bayou waters to adapt Barry Gifford's Night People for Oni Press and has not been the same since.

Daniel Noah is a founding partner and head of development for Elijah Wood's production group, SpectreVision, responsible for titles including A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, Mandy, and Rabbit Trap. A prolific writer-producer with 21 feature-film credits, as well as experience in network television development, gaming, artist management, film programming, podcasting, and publishing. Daniel wrote the features Camino, McCanick, and Believers. He cowrote and cocreated the game Transference for Ubisoft, which was nominated for Best Immersive Reality Game at the D. I. C. E. Awards. He also wrote and directed Max Rose, the final starring vehicle of entertainment legend Jerry Lewis, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, he is currently an adjunct professor at USC's School of Cinematic Arts.

Dave Chisholm is a graphic novelist and musician currently living in Rochester, New York, where he received his doctorate in jazz trumpet from the Eastman School of Music in 2013. His expertise in music, as well as his formal inventiveness within the comics medium, has resulted in a string of critically acclaimed music-centric comics and graphic novels, including Spectrum (Mad Cave Studios), Miles Davis & the Search for the Sound, Enter the Blue, Chasin' the Bird: Charlie Parker in California, and the groundbreaking graphic novel + original soundtrack Instrumental (Z2 Comics). In collaboration with writer Michael Conrad on Plague House, he's bringing that same formal inventiveness to the horror genre. Chisholm also has a passion for education and teaches comics and music at the Hochstein School and the Rochester Institute of Technology. In his free time, Dave enjoys spending time with his family and his cats.
