Rev. Dr. Yaron I. Kohen is a missionary, pastor, biblical counselor, teacher, and theologian devoted to proclaiming the sufficiency of Christ and the transformative power of God's Word. As the Founder and President of Grace Ministries for Christ, he has ministered across the United States and internationally-preaching, teaching, counseling, and discipling with Spirit-led conviction and compassionate pastoral care. With nearly 30 years of ministry experience, Dr. Kohen brings a unique voice to the field of pastoral counseling by integrating biblical exposition with practical theology for spiritual formation.
He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling and an M. Div. in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, and is currently completing a Ph. D. in Bible Exposition, also at Liberty. His doctoral research birthed Proactive Pastoral Counseling: An Intrapersonal Approach for Cultivating Christian Formation-a theologically rich, biblically grounded model of care that moves beyond behavior modification to target the intrapersonal realm where spiritual battles are fought and sanctification takes place.
Dr. Kohen is the developer of the Christian Intrapersonal Formation (CIF) model, which emphasizes transformation through biblical thinking, Spirit-empowered renewal, and obedience to Christ as central to the believer's growth in grace. His approach challenges secular therapeutic models by restoring biblical counseling to its rightful place within the shepherding ministry of the Church-calling believers to daily surrender, godly discernment, and inner renewal through Scripture.
Whether serving in local churches, on the mission field, or in the counseling room, Dr. Kohen remains committed to equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12) by anchoring their identity, healing, and hope in Christ alone.
