A Life Among Fishes explores the life long passion of fisheries scientist and artist Christopher M Dewees, featuring over 100 of the Japanese fish prints he has created since 1969. Information about the art form and it's history is presented alongside the artworks.
Chris Dewees had a passion for fish since childhood. He is currently Marine Fisheries Specialist Emeritus at the University of California, Davis. Since 1968 he has honed his skills in Japanese fish printing (gyotaku). His works have been featured in many individual and group exhibitions around the world.
