This book is an extract from one of the very greatest works in our tradition, the Shifa' of Qadi 'Iyad. The third such extract IGP has published in the past few years, Respecting & Honouring Our Messenger is focused on the extraordinary level of respect shown towards the Prophet by the early generations of Muslims.

Many of the narrations in this book are astonishing, even shocking. They force us to extend our imaginations, to try to fathom the immense honor in which the Companions and the Salaf held Allah's Messenger and everything associated with him. Despite the fact that they feel unattainable, almost otherworldly, these stories are vital for us, because they give us a glimpse of how the best generations honored the Best of Creation .
