Haunted by his parents' agonizing final moments, a grieving boy stumbles through a barren, sun-scorched land, his only company the fragile heartbeat of his newborn brother strapped to his chest. Unwilling to accept his loss, the boy sets out on a dangerous journey to reach the home of the gods-a mountain looming in the distance-seeking a way to reunite with his parents. But the grief-stricken path to the mountain is also a violent exile into adulthood, and the mountain hides secrets the gods are unwilling to share.
