It highlights many grammatical stumbling blocks that regularly confuse learners and hopefully will provide points of discussion in the classroom.
There is also a wide coverage of commonly used words, idioms, phrasal verbs, puns and general word play.
Some stories are just plain daft.
Whilst this book was originally intended for students learning English as a second language (all ages from beginner to intermediate), it should also be of interest to young children whose native language is English.
*All of the stories are written in the present perfect tense but there are a few lapses due to trying to maintain either flow, sense, or interest.
The book is wonderfully illustrated thanks to the talents of Susan Lumb.
