The Last Sheep

D. L. Strickland is best described as a Christian, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an author and speaker. D. L. and husband, Cortez Strickland Sr. have been married 36 years. They have 7 children and 21 grandchildren. Dara became a Christian at the age of 16 at Tri-City Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. Her love of writing and Bible prophecy resulted in two novel, "The Seers" and "Face of Honor." She is also published in numerous poetry anthologies and has written dozens of plays, skits and monologues. Dara teaches a Wednesday night Bible class at Covenant Baptist Church where her husband, Cortez is Senior Pastor. She has been a guest speaker at UMCK's Black Women's Leadership Conference. Dara suffers from a chronic illness and is a 5 year cancer survivor. Her love of Christ is credited for her successful marriage.
