"Peterson writes enough words to gag a goose," said a man with the alacrity that comes years after last using the phone.
The years he published Drama & Desire, Cine Bahía, and Fiery Messengers (2009-10) mark the height of his powers as a poet. Other books receiving attention: Archipelago; Not Sleep, Deeper; and The Folding Chairs Meditation. In addition to the poems, he's published three novels and two books of stories. Peterson once acted as senior poetry editor for Willow Springs Magazine in the Northwest, and later founded the Actors' Mission in Wyoming. He married twice and has two grown daughters. For the last twelve years he's lived in the Southwest. After his death someone will comment: "He came as close as anyone to infusing poetry with the spirit of film noir."
