At the edge of the small town of Meotham, in the country of Walwark, there is The Yellow Forest. And in that forest there are Monsters.

But that is not what Detective Elle is worried about. Everyone knows about the Shadow Davies. What he's worried about is the sudden uptick in his home. All starting with a strange calf getting lost within The Yellow Forest. After that, the crimes start accelerating at an alarming rate, all accumulating with a murder.

Will he stop these crimes before it's too late? Or has so many years in a sleepy town leave the murderer escaping? Are they closer to him than he thinks?
