The Legionnaire

The Legionnaire is a historical novel set during the age of Emperor Constantine the Great, in the final years of the Roman Empire's strength along the Danube frontier.

The story follows Marcus Flavius, the son of a blacksmith from the province of Moesia, who joins the Roman legions at eighteen, dreaming of glory, land, and Roman citizenship. Instead of honor, he finds mud, blood, brutal discipline, and the harsh truth behind the Empire he once admired.
