Out of necessity, Akni leaves the area of the Sawags with his friends Dalom and Revi. The mornaghs are their guides. They travel back to the Faithful of Ro`eh, the only place in Under-Earth where the mornaghs can find food. It is an impossible return. For friendship with the mornaghs means enmity with the Faithful. Nowhere is a safe place for Akni and the mornaghs. A new battle seems inevitable. Meanwhile, Akni desperately continues to search for the truth about Ro`eh. But Ro`eh remains silent and the answers to Akni's questions remain elusive.
Is there somewhere in Under-Earth a safe place to live? Can the Faithful and the mornaghs be friends? Will Akni ever discover the truth about Ro`eh?
