James Court is an author, writer and music biographer. His first biography was for Prince, released in 2018, Prince The Life The Genius The Legend. Following this he released Lenny Kravitz The Life The Genius The Legend in April 2019 and in the same year wrote a Madonna biography, the third book in The Life The Genius The Legend series. His Aerosmith biography, titled Aerosmith A Band Like No Other, was released in 2019 and became his fourth release. Aerosmith was also made available as a large deluxe coffee table book with additional material and photography. Prince The Life The Genius The Legend was also converted to a large coffee table book, again with additional material and content. These releases were part of a new series of books entitled Rock the Coffee Table. In 2020 James wrote and released The 27 Club, a book dedicated to the music legends that died at just 27 years of age: Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Brian Jones, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. Following on he released a book dedicated to the music of the 1980's, The 80's When Music Went Pop! was released in 2022. Jimi Hendrix Castles made of Sand is James's seventh release. James has been nominated for The Association for Recorded Sound Collection Awards for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research. He lives in Staffordshire, England.
