(born 11 July 1986) is a Ghanaian international footballer who plays
professionally as a midfielder for Utrecht in the Netherlands. Born in
Kumasi, Asare previously spent his early career with Kumasi
Cornerstones, Feyenoord Ghana, Feyenoord and Royal Antwerp. On 16 May
2009 it was announced that Asare would leave his contract with Mechelen
after the completion of the 2008/2009 season Y.R. K.V. Mechelen, and he
signed a four-year contract until June 2013 with Dutch side Utrecht.
