Von Braschler is a former award-winning journalist who once published a lifestyle magazine in Everett, Washington, where he was born and raised. He is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle and former faculty member of the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinesbeck, New York. He is a former organizer of the Willamette Writers annual writing contest for writers for five western states. Von has worked at several book publishing companies in publicity, marketing, and acquisitions. He has lived and worked in several states including Alaska, Oregon, Wyoming, Illinois, Michigan, New Hampshire, and Washington. Von is the author of several books that explore dreams, time, and consciousness. He won a gold medal for visionary work in annual COVR national book awards. He frequently appears as a guest on national and international broadcasts Currently, Von lives with cats and a backyard filled with deer on a small, rustic island off the coast of Washington state.
