A Christmas Carol, written in 1843, is one of the most famous novels of all time, having given literature the figure of the heartless old miser who inspired Scrooge McDuck and the famous Grinch. Ebenezer Scrooge is indeed a stingy old man who hates Christmas with all his might. But one Christmas Eve he receives an unexpected visit: the ghost of his business partner Jacob Marley, dead seven years, appears before him. Marley announces the arrival of three spirits, who will show him what his past was really like, what his present is like, and what his future will be.
