Meet LC MajeskiHeartfelt Holiday AdventureA Tradition of Christmas StorytellingEvery year, as the autumn leaves give way to falling snowflakes, I embrace the tradition of writing a Christmas story. This annual ritual began with my own children and has grown over time. Now that my kids are adults, my family network has expanded, and I have started including more families on my recipient list.A New Chapter: Author and PublisherThis year marks a new adventure for me, as I take on the roles of both author and publisher of my own work. Amado's Snowball is the debut title in a series of picture books, each one highlighting Amado's adventures.Inspiration Behind AmadoThe character of Amado was inspired by watching my two-year-old grandson, who is endlessly fascinated by anything that rolls-cars, trucks, vacuum cleaners, and especially balls. This observation led me to wonder: why not make a snowball the main character?Early BeginningsI'm guessing, I'm like most fiction writers. I enjoy telling stories. I've told them to siblings while growing up, friends, neighbors, and even stray dogs provided they'd sit long enough to listen. My two sons got an earful especially at bedtime. When captured audiences were hard to find. I entered writing contests. Fifty words or less describe my first pint of GuinessNeither fame nor fortune came my way from extracting poetic beauty from a pint of ale, yet my winnings kept me swimming in Dublin's finest for about a week. These days I'm committed to a more serious development of my craft. A former Reuters professional I turned to founding Sunzeez Company LLC., aka Sunzeez.net, providing sunglasses for newborns. Despite my achievements in business, I haven't shaken the writing bug. Delivering Amado's Snowball to the world would top the case of Guiness I won.
