Trevor Connor, MS, is the CEO of The Paleo Diet, LLC, which owns and operates The Paleo Diet® program, The Paleo Diet website, two industry-leading food certification standards, a full branding and cobranded licensing program, and all related intellectual property rights affiliated. Connor was Dr. Cordain’ s final graduate student and his research focused on the field of bioenergetics and how inflammation effects the gut-brain axis. Dr. Mark J. Smith is Dr. Cordain’ s first graduate student to study Paleolithic nutrition and holds a master’ s degree in exercise and sport science and a PhD in physiology from Colorado State University. He has worked with Dr. Cordain on Paleolithic nutrition since 1990. For over 30 years, Dr. Smith has helped people solve or ease health conditions using The Paleo Diet, making him one of the most experienced Paleolithic nutrition clinicians in the world. He is also a leading expert on supramaximal interval training and maintains a health and conditioning practice near Palm Springs, California.
