National Geographic Ocean

Sylvia A. Earle is a National Geographic explorer at large who has devoted her life, energy, and talents to caring for Earth's ocean. Called Her Deepness by the New Yorker and the New York Times, deemed a living legend by the U.S. Library of Congress, and selected as a Hero for the Planet by Time magazine, she is president and chairman of Mission Blue/The Sylvia Earle Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring action to explore and protect the ocean.
