Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) was a world-famous occultist from England. The author and poet was a long time member of the Golden Dawn Order and published during his lifetime numerous writings, including The Book of Thoth, a detailed interpretation to the Tarot cards.
Frieda Lady Harris (1877-1962) was a gifted artist. She was married and had two children. From 1937 she worked closely with Aleister Crowley until his death. For the tarot cards she worked into the "Projective Synthetic Geometry", which was based among other things on the teachings of J. W. von Goethe and Rudolf Steiner.
