Günter Hampel war Zuchtleiter des Verbandes für Fleischrinderzucht und -haltung in Bayern. Er ist Abteilungsleiter am Amt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung Kulmbach und Fachlehrer an der Bayreuther Technikerschule für Agrarwirtschaft.
