This story is very well written with a dual point of view by both protagonists in the first person. This helps me a lot to understand the protagonists in a better way about their feelings and thoughts. Something I really like.
I already knew Fee and Mac from the previous book(s) in the series and was curious how this would work out and I was positively surprised.
Fee's evolution is known for me from the Toronto Terror Series on. This book is all about Fee's life. She's having a deep individual evolution in how to manage her feelings and all her past that's still lingering in her subconscious and conscious. She's full of depth and reliable. Her journey is very emotional and I felt everything.
Mac has his own stones in the way from his past and he's still trying to process the way to live with them. And how to react properly to his feelings. He's full of feelings too, but he has another way to deal with them. Individually he's evolving, too. It isn't that much as Fee but still. I really like Mac. He's kind and sweet and sometimes unaware of the obvious in his surroundings but that's reliable.
Their journey together as a couple is so beautiful and so mature in a way I wasn't expecting but it is so reliable for me.
Conclusion:
I love this story and it surpassed my expectations.
Non native English readers will enjoy this story.
Audiobook:
The Audiobook of Mac Meyers Needs me is narrated in a duet, which means that all the male parts are narrated by the male Narrator (NAME) and all the female parts are narrated by the female narrator (NAME). I like this particular well because the narrators created different voices for each character so it was always possible for me to identify the characters by their way of talking. This was really pleasant.
The voices are easy to listen to and they match Feel-good and Mac perfectly. Even the side characters had their own voice.
The male voice give me the chills.
And important too, is that they made it easy to follow their narration and the story.
Even non native English listeners could enjoy this.
