Max Haberich was born on April 19, 1984, and grew up on Hawaii
and in Munich. He studied History, History of Art and German
Literature in York, Aix-en-Provence and Tü bingen. Haberich completed
his PhD on the German-Jewish identity of Arthur Schnitzler and Jakob
Wassermann at the University of Cambridge. He has published in various
academic and literary journals.
In Vienna, he founded the writers' circle Jung Wien '14. Haberich
is a member of the P. E. N. Club and a board member of the Austrian
Writers' Association. His biography, Arthur Schnitzler. Anatom des Fin-de-
Siè cle, was published in German by Kremayr & Scheriau in 2017. One of
Haberich's most recent publications includes a volume of short stories and
satires in German, Am Abhang der Wind [The Wind at the Precipice] (2019),
in the series 'Edition P. E. N.' from Lö cker Verlag.
