Nana Nauwald, born in 1947, is an internationally known visual artist. Author of many books, and lecturer. For about thirty years she has researched shamanism worldwide: Peru, Columbia, New Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Siberia. After completing extensive studies with Dr. Goodman, Nana Nauwald became a certified trainer and facilitator in Europe, presenting and teaching ritual trance workshops in many European countries. She is the founder of the German Felicitas-Goodman-Institute, and she also initiated the Russian Felicitas-Goodman-Institute. She lives near Luneburg in northern Germany.

Felicitas D. Goodman:
Felicitas D. Goodman, Prof. Ph. D. , born in 1914 in Hungary, and died in 2005. She worked in the fields of linguistics and psychological anthropology; she conducted workshops throughout Europe and the U. S. Her books include: Where the Spirits Ride the Wind; Ecstasy; Ritual and alternate reality; Speaking in Tongues; The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel; How about Demons? ; Maya Apocalypse - 17 years with the Woman of a Yucatan Village. She discovered and researched the shamanic technique of ritual body postures and different methods of achieving non-ordinary states of consciousness.
