A Dangerous Church Vol 1: Faith in a Mighty God

The two volumes of A Dangerous Church are a clarion call to the people of God to recover their rightful identity and become what Christ has called His Church to be: a light in the darkness, a carrier of His glory, a voice of hope, and a guardian of the Gospel on the earth. The Church was never meant to be passive, powerless, or intimidated. Why? Because the One we serve is greater than the one who is in the world. The Church is dangerous when she refuses to bow to ideas, philosophies, teachings, or strongholds that exalt themselves against the knowledge and Kingdom of God. Truth still sets captives free. Faith still moves mountains. Prayer still breaks chains. The Gospel still transforms lives. God is still alive. And nothing is impossible for Him. We are dangerous to every spiritual, emotional, and psychological stronghold because our hope is not built upon the shifting foundations of this world. Our hope is in the living God the God of miracles, the God of power, the God of deliverance, and the God of glory. The Church was never called to blend into the darkness; she was called to confront it with light. She was never called to retreat in fear; she was called to advance in faith. She was never called to compromise the truth; she was called to proclaim it. The hour has come for a radical, bold, fearless Church one that knows her God, knows her authority, knows her purpose, and refuses to surrender the ground Christ has entrusted to her. The world does not need a powerless Church. It needs a dangerous one.
