God's Money: What Tithing Does for You was written because
the author had believed a lot of lies in regard to handling money
in a godly way. The best thing "Ordinary Guy" ever did was to
decide he was going to stop believing what people told him to think
about what is written in the Bible, and just believe what is written.
The work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the author as he read the
Bible has shown him a lot of truths that he didn't know existed,
including about money. The personal testimony included may be
similar to the story of many people, or it may be very different, but
what the Bible says will be the same, and the impact of beleiving
what is written has led to financial freedom for the author. One of
the benefits of the Bible is that the principles within it are timeless,
but the tricks the devil uses to prevent people from applying what
is written are effective when we are ignorant of what the Bible
contains. Faith grows over time, including faith in the blessings
of tithing, and like many faith journeys, what you learn along the
way is just as valueable as the end result.
