Insatiable Desire

There is a special melancholy in Manuel García's pages: that of someone who has waited too long and, when desire finally arrives, lives it with an almost desperate hunger. His protagonists are shy young men, bodies seeking each other in the shadows of the outskirts, glances that cross for years before turning into gestures.
The title story is perhaps the most visceral in the collection. A shy boy, consumed by insatiable desire, meets Rafael, a muscular young man with mischievous smiles. What begins with a glance is consummated in an abandoned station, between hungry kisses and total surrender.
