This would have been one of my most anticipated reads of 2026 if I wasnt so lucky to receive an ARC and I'm still so thankful for it.
First-Time Caller, the first book in the interconnected Heartstrings series was one of my favorite romance books of 2025. I wasnt aware that this could be possible but I loved And Now, Back To You even more. It was everything and so much more than I expected.
Jackson & Delilah couldnt be more different. He loves his routines, shes spontaneous. Hes organizing everything in his life, she is adventurous and loves being around other people. He likes to work alone from his radio booth, she is a journalist thriving in front of the TV camera.
Then theyre partnered to cover a huge snowstorm and need to figure out how to work together.
The characters backstories, their insecurities, traumas, and dreams, I felt all of it. The author created characters that felt so real, relatable and that were so multilayered. Their individual stories and how their relationship progressed throughout the book made me so emotional. But it was funny, too. Going through the notes I made for this review I was reminded how many lol-moments Ive marked.
I was hooked from the first page and devoured it way too quickly. I loved everything about this book, about Delilah and Jackson, and their relationship. They treated each other with so much gentleness and care. I was sad when I had to leave their world.
I cant wait for the release and for everyone to read their story!
