His best friend, Nick Esposito, is fighting his own battles back in the United States with his involvement in the Mafia. But John soon discovers the harsh reality of two parallel worlds: military service, where killing is justified for what's believed to be right for the common good, and the shady underworld of organized crime, where killing is condoned for another kind of justice.
