Hale explores the mysterious death of 'Buster' Crabb, at the centre of the tumult of the Cold War. Crabb was an influence on Ian Fleming when imagining the character of James Bond.
DON HALE is a writer, journalist, editor and investigative journalist. He has taken part in several programmes about railways and has previously written Town Without Pity, and Mallard: How the Blue Streak Broke the World Record. He was awarded the OBE for his investigation of the wrongful conviction of Stephen Downing for murder. He lives in Conwy.
