It all started with a box...a box full of ancient musty manuscripts and glittering gold coins. When a client discovered the box buried under his house, he went straight to Detective Jake Jezreel for advice. All the manuscripts had strange foreign writings scrawled on them. But strangest of all, there also was an ancient map nestled in the box. It, too, had enigmatic writings hiding the real purpose of the sketched diagram. The mysterious map appeared, tantalizingly, to lead to something of vital importance.
Immediately Jake calls in a local, former Pharisee to attempt to translate the strange documents. Good progress is made in translating the parchments. The documents appear to be official foreign government records which had, for some unknown reason, been buried under the client's house many years before.
But more importantly, the map seemed to hold the greatest promise of intrigue. The map, cloaked in its mysterious writing, drew increased allurement with its apparent potential for grander rewards.
But when the box and the map are both stolen, Jake Jezreel is swept into a race against time to outsmart the thieves. The ancient map is the key to beating the bad guys to the punch. But the criminals have the map! Advantage to the bad guys! What stray, obscure clue can Jake use to outwit the criminals?
