George T. Hole graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Philosophy. He was inducted into the University Sports Hall of Fame for his record performances in football and track. He retired from Buffalo State College as SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor of Philosophy. His poetry publications include a book, Buffalo Dust, and poems in Cimmaron Review, Rapport, Stone Drum, Earth's Daughters, and Sugar Mule, as well as several in the Buffalo News.George is the author of a book on critical thinking and essays on Socrates, films and counseling. He has a counseling practice and conducts Socratic-Dialogue and Mindful-Inquiry workshops.
