From the first day at a new school, Lisa and her bossy classmate, Angel, begin playing a series of mischievous tricks on each other, with the class guinea pigs as unwitting accomplices, until the teacher steps in.
It all starts when Angel sends a misleading note that sets off an ear-nibbling scuffle between cage-mates Bruiser and Squeaky during a timed math test. Determined to get even, Lisa smuggles food-loving Bruiser into Angel’s lunchbag, where he promptly devours a prized snack cake.
The rivalry escalates when Lisa and her friend Traci rig a mini speaker behind Squeaky’s habitat, with a microphone tucked behind a wire cage as an unlikely secret weapon. Whispering from under Mrs. Flowers’s desk, Lisa convinces the class that the skinny rodent can talk, until trailing cords and floral high heels bring the whole scheme to light.
