Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas

born in Pilotišk¿s, back in 1893. In 1909 he enrolled to Seinai Priest
Seminary, after few years he published his first poem. In 1915 Vincas
Mykolaitis was consecrated as priest, however questioned his mission as
priest. Later he continued studies in St. Petersburg. In St. Petersburg,
Vincas Mykolaitis published his first collection of poems back in 1917.
After St. Petersburg, Vincas Mykolaitis continued his studies in
Switzerland, received doctoral degree in 1922.
