Although I try to prepare myself for the journey, read what can be read and to some extent I know what I am looking at wherever I end up, the most interesting things are the ones that are not expected, things I had no idea about before setting off. Indeed, these are the things worthy to be written about because if I hadn't known about it, then the likelihood is that my reader will not either. I have always thought that the most interesting interviews are the ones where I don't ask any questions, my interlocutor talks about things that important to him or her, not about things he or she thinks are important for me. Now you can, of course ask me, the globetrotter.
