Jaan Ranne is a science teacher, a forestry technician, and an author. He studied biology at Dawson College and forestry at Sault College of Applied Arts and Technologies, and he brings over three decades' experience in the forestry sector to his discussions of the natural world. Having worked as a religious educator for two decades, he is also a seasoned teacher. Ranne infuses this rich perspective to his ode to the created world, coupling a scientist's curiosity with a teacher's patience in his writing.
Jaan believes in the importance of accessible accounts of creation, which allow the public to grasp the wonders of science and faith. He has previously published two books, The Search for Truth: Creation or Evolution (2018) and The Wiles of the Devil (2019).
He lives in Arnprior, Ontario, with his lovely wife, Ruth.
