The Coming

In 1910, in southwest Colorado, Alice Chisholm survived a deadly battle with the Devil, but in the process, she killed her own daughter, Natty. Holding the girl's lifeless body, Alice screamed at God and secured a promise for future retaliation by writing three letters to a man, Joseph (Joe) Everlasting, who had not yet been born.

In 1983, Joe finds Alice's letters hidden among vintage Christmas gifts. Reading them, he realizes the life he lived was not what God intended. Joe now finds himself at the center of a

celestial battle between good and evil when his wife, Mary, gives birth to twin saviors, Hope and Christian.

The birth of the twins triggers a violent response from "John Lucifer," the Master of Hell, who operates through the corporate machinery of Hell LLC. The Devil-also known as Satan-dispatches his premier "savior slayer," Silver, to destroy these new rivals: infant saviors who walk, talk, and age months in a matter of weeks.

From the old-town streets of Durango to the mountain shrines in Silverton, Joe leads a small group of defenders in a frantic race across the Colorado high country. They must stay one step ahead of Silver, the ruthless sorceress Isabella, and a literal army of minions. To save the children, Joe will have to trust Alice Chisholm's words and face an enemy that cannot be

killed-only slowed down.
