What a great character development we have in this book.
I mean I never thought to feel sorry for Regan. To really get to know here in this book, to read what she is going through and how she is choosing sides here is well done for me.
I loved Florence right from the start as the shy bookish girl with a heart of gold. To read here how she struggles to be tied to a dragon, how they get to know each other, how she gets self-confidence, is accepting her new role is wonderfully done.
I loved the fluffin Neville also right from the start, so I loved having him here and see what he is capable of was great for me.
Having Blake struggling with what is going on in his body, the reality he needs to face and what decisions he needs to make is well written.
The changes going on in Bloodwing are hard. So evil!
To read what sides are chosen, who stands up for whom is well done.
Viktor is once again a great a very bad villain. He is still plotting and is he showing finally all his cards?
What about Marcus and the second dragon? What is their game?
Some secrets become clearer, some interesting things get revealed but still many open questions.
I cant wait for the next book as here we are left with bad cliffhanger.
