In a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, Andre and Dawn-two survivors with vastly different personalities-form an unlikely alliance. As they navigate the dangerous wasteland, they encounter Dr. Wilkins, a scientist-turned-zombie who maintains his intelligence and can control other zombies. After stealing a cure from his facility, Andre secretly injects himself with it, making his blood the key to humanity's salvation. When Dr. Wilkins tracks them down, Andre and Dawn join a survivor camp where they discover Andre's blood can reverse zombie infections. They fight off Wilkins and his horde in a final battle, defeating him with the cure that proves toxic to his evolved form.
With Wilkins defeated, they broadcast their message of hope worldwide. The screenplay concludes with Andre and Dawn reaching a safe zone where civilization is rebuilding, and they can finally imagine a future beyond mere survival.
