Nikki thought she knew the dangers that came along with the Sunhawk bloodline by watching what her family and her guardians went through on a daily basis. Never knowing that if someone went out on a mission, they would come back home in one piece, let alone alive.

Along with her father and a few unexpected allies, Nikki must make the final decision. Will she become the Phoenix as she is destined to be, or will she let it all go and return to her safe, normal human life?
