Patrick Garbin is a freelance writer and researcher. Considered perhaps the foremost historian on University of Georgia football, Garbin also maintains the About Them Dawgs! Blawg - the only blog or website focusing on the history of the Bulldogs' football program. He has contributed articles and research to a number of media outlets and newspapers in the Southeast, as well as CNN Sports Illustrated, the College Football Hall of Fame, UGA's Sports Communications department, Bleacher Report, Covers. com, and PhilSteele. com, among many others. Game of My Life: Georgia Bulldogs is the sixth book he has authored. Dr. A. P. Garbin was a Professor of Sociology at four different universities for approximately 50 years, including at the University of Georgia for 40 years, until his recent retirement. While a professor, he published five monographs, nine chapters in books, and about 30 journal articles. Garbin's many honors and awards included the Meritorious Service Award and the Certificate of Merit awarded by the Georgia Sociological Association. Since his retirement, the Professor Emeritus enjoys traveling and following one of his favorite pastimes of more than four decades - the Georgia Bulldogs football program.
