Sonia D. Hebdon is an Australian author whose own lived love story is much like that of Josie and Blaine from The Haven Cove series. She cherishes her university years as a Goth, immersed in the beauty of '80s alternative music and Sydney's Goth scene. After earning her degree in Creative Writing and Communications from the University of Western Sydney, she met her Prince Charming and married almost thirty years ago.She has worked in public relations and education. After her two children were diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism at a young age, she trained in Autism awareness. Now teenagers, Ruby and Robert continue to amaze her and her husband, Adam, with their creativity, individuality, and determination to overcome every obstacle life has thrown their way. Sonia is a writer committed to creating both fiction and nonfiction for families raising children of all ages with special needs. She is passionate about writing for young readers and has a wealth of unique story ideas to bring to life. Her husband, Adam, is an alternative Christian musician who performs, records, and distributes his music on YouTube under the moniker Beautiful Desert. He also has experience in copy-editing and time-based media production (audio and video). Together, they are a husband-and-wife team who enjoy collaborating on joint projects! Fancy that?!They currently live with their children and a menagerie of rescue animals in an Australian country town.
