Andre Norton was the pen name of Alice Mary Norton, one of the most influential and prolific writers of twentieth-century science fiction and fantasy. Publishing across seven decades, Norton became especially known for adventure-driven speculative fiction that combined vivid world-building, lost civilizations, alien contact, time travel, psychic powers, and young protagonists forced into dangerous, transformative journeys.
