Authors John and Chery Kinnick were married at St. Bernard's Chapel at Snoqualmie Summit and moved to Alpental in 1994. John has worked as a certified Summit Learning Center ski instructor for over 20 years and leads ski tours to the Alps. Chery is a supervisor for the University of Washington Libraries and a recent participant of the Nearby History writing seminar through Seattle's Museum of History and Industry. The images in this book come from a variety of public sources, as well as very special private collections.
