I live with my husband-who also happens to be my best friend-and together we are raising our six amazing kids. Two of them have since moved out, but they are still a huge part of our life. Our home is loud, chaotic, and full of life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Creativity has always been a huge part of who I am. When I'm not writing, I love painting and finding ways to bring the stories in my head to life. By day, I work as a GM warranty administrator, but most nights you'll find me writing long after everyone else in the house has gone to sleep.
When I was younger, my dream was to go to mortuary school. Life took me down a different path, but storytelling became my way of exploring the darker, deeper parts of life and what it means to survive them.
Unclaimable is an especially important book for me. Writing it allowed me to face trauma from my own childhood and work through it in a way I never expected. At its core, this story is about autonomy, reclaiming your voice, and finding the strength to take your life back.
