Tumbler is a breed of fancy pigeon developed over many years of
selective breeding. Old Dutch Tumblers, along with other varieties of
domesticated pigeons, are all descendants from the Rock Pigeon (Columba
livia). Fancy pigeons are domesticated varieties of the Rock Pigeon
(Columba livia). They are bred by pigeon fanciers for various traits
relating to size, shape, color, and behavior. The breeders of these
fancy varieties exhibit their birds at pigeon shows, fairs and other
livestock exhibits.
