Role of Artificial Intelligence in COVID-19 pandemic and Ageism

Artificial intelligence has emerged as an important facet in all sectors, and the same stands true for the health sector. Artificial intelligence has opened multiple avenues for things that were never heard of in past. The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in significant improvements. AI has played an instrumental role in predicting the onset or the decline of COVID-19 waves, the detection of cases, contact tracing, clinical trials, etc. On a similar note, AI has played a significant role in the prevention of ageism. The need of the hour is to acknowledge the value of AI and gradually integrate it with the health care delivery system.
