Sacrificing Ayda

The townspeople of Kern have long bullied and harassed Ayda for her rumored ties to witchcraft. So when a brave attempt to protect a friend goes horribly wrong, it's no surprise they choose her as their sacrifice to appease an ancient evil trapped at the center of the continent.

Desperate to survive, Ayda escapes with two unlikely allies: one, a privileged elite who once helped torment her; the other, a strange boy whose duty is to lead her to the Pit to be sacrificed.
