Sehr schön, auch wenn das Ende etwas plötzlich kam.

Ich kann gar nicht zählen, wie oft ich dieses Buch schon gelesen habe. Allerdings habe ich es nun zum ersten Mal auf Englisch gelesen. Ich bin ja jetzt kein Englisch-Genie und Jane Austens Englisch ist dann doch was anderes als Harry Potter oder Die Tribute von Panem auf Englisch zu lesen. War schon sehr anspruchsvoll.Das macht die Geschichte jedoch nicht weniger schön.Der Erzählstil in diesem Austenbuch unterscheidet sich zu den früheren Romanen wie Pride & Prejudice. Es gibt auch viel Randinformation, die es einem möglich macht, nicht nur an der Geschichte teilzuhaben sondern mitten drin zu sein. Auch die Probleme sind andere, in früheren Büchern waren Probleme wie: Wer tanzt mit wem? Welche Ausflüge machen wir und wohin? Was jedoch in jedem Buch ein Thema ist, ist der Mangel an Geld. Dies lässt mich auch annehmen, das Austen selbst, dieses Problem nicht unbekannt war und möglicherweise auch der Grund warum sie ledig blieb (nicht als Einzige ihrer Familie).Anne Eliott ist und wird immer meine Lieblings-Buchheldin sein. Am Anfang resigniert sie, hat mit ihrer Situation (die ja im 18. Jhdt. ganz anders war als heute) abgeschlossen, wächst sie im Buch zu einer starken und selbstbewussten Frau. Für mich die beste Liebesgeschichte, eine Geschichte über tiefe Gefühle, Vergebung und Hoffnung.
